Wardlow vs. MJF Confirmed For AEW Double or Nothing

Wardlow will finally get his hands on MJF at AEW Double or Nothing.

“The Salt of the Earth” previously agreed to the bout, but he required his former bodyguard to meet a number of conditions first. Wardlow took 10 lashings from his bitter rival, and on the May 25 episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF tried everything he could to screw the powerhouse out of the pay-per-view match.

As part of the aforementioned conditions, on the May 25 episode of AEW Dynamite, Wardlow had to face Shawn Spears in a Steel Cage Match where MJF was the special guest referee. From the start, the Dynamite Diamond Ring winner stacked the deck against “Mr. Mayhem.” He pretended to lost the key to his handcuffs, so Wardlow was fighting from underneath. MJF proceeded to attack “The Wardog”, and The Pinnacle stablemates ganged up on him. MJF also hit his enemy below the belt and tried to fast-count Spears’ pin after the C4.

“Mr. Mayhem” tipped the momentum in his favor when he used his amazing strength to break out of the handcuffs. Spears’ fate was sealed when Wardlow ducked a chair shot and “The Chairman” blasted MJF with the chair. The blow knocked MJF out cold, and Wardlow capitalized by powerbombing Spears three times. Another powerbomb clinched the win when referee Bryce Remsburg  ran to the ring and counted the pin.

After the match, Wardlow climbed to the top of the cage and stared MJF down.
