Matt Cardona reportedly came out of GCW Downward Spiral the worse for wear.
At the event on May 28, Cardona defeated Blake Christian in a singles match. But according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the reigning NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion injured his arm while he was catching a diving Blake Christian during the bout.
Johnson noted that there’s some concern that Cardona suffered a bicep tear of some sort. After the show, he canceled a planned appearance regarding an NFT release’ instead, he’s going home to get a diagnosis for his injury.
Cardona also wrestled at Wrestling REVOLVER’s Vegas Vacation show on Saturday; he lost the IMPACT Digital Media Championship to Rich Swann.
Update: Cardona tweeted about the injury after the match; he stated that he hurt his arm, and he thinks he tore his bicep. He then confirmed that he’s having it checked out.

On June 11, Cardona is set to defend the world title against Nick Aldis at NWA Alwayz Ready.
