Tony Khan On Miro: There’s Definitely A Plan, He’s Important

Miro hasn’t appeared on AEW programming for a while, but Tony Khan says the former TNT Champion is still an important part of the company.

“The Redeemer” hasn’t wrestled since AEW Full Gear in November. He subsequently appeared in a few vignettes after he lost to Bryan Danielson at the pay-per-view, but the powerhouse then disappeared from AEW TV entirely.

During an appearance on The Corner podcast with Andreas Hale, when asked about Miro’s status, Khan made it clear that the former champion is still part of the company’s plans. He also stated that it can be beneficial to build up the anticipation for seeing a star appear.

“Well, he’s somebody who will be an important part of AEW,” said Khan. “I really like Miro. But sometimes I think you can build anticipation for seeing somebody and build to a build anticipation of a comeback.”

When Hale asked him whether there’s a plan for Miro, Khan confirmed that to be the case.

“Yeah, there’s definitely a plan for Miro,” said Khan. “Miro’s important.”
