AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa didn’t appear on the June 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, and a new report has offered more information about her absence.
Rosa successfully defended the title against Serena Deeb at AEW Double or Nothing on May 29, so many fans expected the champion to be involved with the subsequent episode of AEW’s flagship show.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Rosa is currently dealing with an illness, so she wasn’t part of the TV tapings on Wednesday. Ross Sapp also noted that Whatculture reported that Rosa is frustrated, and he’s heard of something to that effect. He stated that, aside from her health, Rosa wasn’t planned for a live segment on the show; instead, she had been set for a backstage segment of some sort.
Ross Sapp also wrote that Rosa is not scheduled for the live edition of AEW Rampage on June 3 because she’s still under the weather.
