Drew McIntyre: I Will Challenge And Will Win The WWE Undisputed Universal Championship At Clash At The Castle

WWE Clash at the Castle is still a few months away, but Drew McIntyre has already set his sights on the show.

During a promo on the June 3 episode of WWE SmackDown, “The Scottish Warrior” firmly stated that he will challenge for and win the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at the event, which will be held in Cardiff, Wales, on September 3.

McIntyre had been feuding with the reigning champion, Roman Reigns, heading into WrestleMania Backlash. There, “The Scottish Warrior” and RK-Bro lost to The Bloodline (Reigns and The Usos). Since then, Reigns has been somewhat absent from WWE TV, and he doesn’t currently have a clear challenger for the title. After a brief absence, McIntyre returned on the May 27 episode of SmackDown and teamed up with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to defeat Sheamus, Ridge Holland, and Butch.
