Pat McAfee Comments On His WWE Hell In A Cell Absence

SmackDown commentator Pat McAfee explains why he wasn’t present at the WWE Hell in a Cell premium live event on Sunday.

On a recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show, McAfee spoke about Cody Rhodes‘ heroic effort to wrestle inside Hell in a Cell on Sunday against Seth Rollins with a torn pectoral muscle.

“Can we talk about one of the gutsiest performances I’ve ever seen,” Pat McAfee began. “Because a man last night went into Hell in a Cell with a torn tit. Cody Rhodes went in there, and a lot of people thought that was makeup like that’s what your body actually does when you tear your shit. Early it looked like he was in a shit ton of pain. Then he clicked into some sort of I don’t give a f-ck, I think, because unless they shot that thing up with everything, you could possibly shoot up, which would hurt so bad, by the way, just the shooting up part of it would hurt so bad. Full Hell in a Cell match, they didn’t mail it in either. This shit was like a full match. He ended up winning; congrats, Seth Rollins lost to a guy with one f-cking tit.”

When asked if Cody Rhodes would be taking a break after this, McAfee assumed he would be having surgery but didn’t have all the details because he wasn’t present at the WWE Hell in a Cell premium live event. McAfee went on to note that his absence was a mutual decision, reiterating his Tweet from Sunday night where he said it didn’t make sense to travel for one match.

“I assume he’s gonna have to get surgery,” Pat McAfee said. “I do not know all the ins and outs. I wish I did. I was not at Hell in a Cell, Smackdown only had one match, and all parties agreed that probably not worth the trip to Chicago and back for that. I think it ended up being like a 13-minute match or something Madcap got a big win.”
