Andrade El Idolo shocked fans by returning during the Casino Battle Royale on the June 8 episode of AEW Dynamite,
In a match that saw the winner taking on Jon Moxley in the main event for a chance at facing Hiroshi Tanahashi at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Andrade returned as The Joker. Despite the excitement around his return, however, he was eventually eliminated, as Wheeler Yuta sent him out of the match before Kyle O’Reilly ultimately won the contest.

Andrade has been away from the AEW ring for a little over a month, with his last appearance coming in a Coffin Match against Darby Allin on April 20, a match that Andrade lost. He then competed at AAA TripleMania XXX: Monterrey on April 30, and he wasn’t seen again until a taped segment at AEW Double or Nothing. There, he introduced RUSH as his new business partner.
While he was away, Andrade married WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair.
