IWGP United States Champion Juice Robinson Says He Won’t Be At NJPW Dominion

According to Juice Robinson, the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship Match at New Japan Pro-Wrestling‘s “Dominion” event is off.

The reigning champion is set to defend the gold against SANADA and Will Ospreay at the show on June 12. But in a video NJPW posted on its YouTube channel, Robinson stated that he won’t be in Japan on Sunday because he’s suffering from acute appendicitis, and he has to have his appendix surgically removed.

“What part of acute appendicitis do you idiots not understand?” said Robinson. “I’ve already told you once that I’m not coming to Osaka. I’m gonna tell you again: I am not coming to Osaka. So I don’t know it says that this championship is going to be on the line against SANADA and Will Ospreay because I am not even going to be in Japan. In fact, this championship, it’s with me in America. Okay? It’s with me, in America. I am not coming to Japan because I need my appendix cut out. Because my appendix is not rock-hard like the rest of me.

“This is what should happen in Osaka. In Osaka, it should SANADA against Will, and I don’t care what. And the winner can have a championship match against me when I see fit, when this team of doctors has put Humpty Dumpty back together again. Okay, New Japan? You can’t have a championship match with the champion and without the championship, you idiots. So it’s gonna have to be a number one contendership match, SANADA against Will. Thank you, Juice Robinson, for a fantastic idea.”

As of this writing, NJPW has not released an official statement about Robinson’s status, and he is still being advertised for NJPW Dominion.
