Liv Morgan Wins Women’s Money in the Bank Match

Liv Morgan walked into Money in the Bank with a dream, and walked out with a briefcase.

In an intense opening match to tonight’s pay-per-view, it was Liv Morgan who survived the gauntlet that was the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. In a contest that featured a ton of other incredible superstars — including Asuka, Lacey Evans, Becky Lynch, Raquel Rodriguez, Shotzi, and Alexa Bliss — it was Morgan who was able to come away with the win.

Towards the end of the match, Lynch had seemingly secured a win after knocking everyone off of their respective ladders and onto the ropes. Liv came charging into the ring and climbed up a smaller ladder, though, and even managed to save herself after Lynch knocked her ladder down. In the end, Morgan dropped Lynch and collected the briefcase to earn herself a future shot at a championship.

Lynch tries to climb but Shotzi yanks her off the ladder, causing Lynch to slam her face into the mat. Shotzi tries a senton while Lynch is on a ladder but Lynch moves out of the way. Asuka pulls Rodriguez out of the ring. Rodriguez floors Asuka with a clothesline. Rodriguez clears the announce desk and drapes a ladder between the apron and the desk. Asuka gets to her feet. Rodriguez tries to powerbomb Asuka through the ladder but Asuka escapes and traps Rodriguez in a flying armbar.

Rodriguez tries to powerbomb Asuka but Lynch knocks them into a ladder. Lynch dives off a ladder and leg drops Asuka while she is laying on a ladder. Lynch tips over a few ladders and starts her climb. Morgan cut her off. Lynch tries to push Morgan off her ladder but Morgan bounces off the ropes and knocks Lynch off her ladder. Morgan pulls down the contract for the win.
