Wardlow: MJF ‘Really Is A Piece Of S—‘, His Behavior Is Unacceptable

For the first three years of his time with All Elite Wrestling, Wardlow was linked to MJF, first as allies and later as bitter enemies. Now that the powerhouse has cut ties with “The Salt of the Earth”, he has opened up about the experience.

Wardlow defeated MJF in the culmination of their bitter feud; the story was years in the making, the Dynamite Diamond Ring winner brought Wardlow to AEW as his bodyguard. When the “Wardog” turned on MJF at AEW Revolution 2022 after tensions simmered for several months, they engaged in a heated rivalry that led to their clash at Double or Nothing. Wardlow emerged victorious, and after MJF cut a fiery promo, where he told AEW president Tony Khan to fire him, on the following episode of AEW Dynamite, he hasn’t been seen on TV since.

During an appearance on “Casual Conversations with The Classic“, “Mr. Mayhem” briefly spoke about MJF by saying that while the latter was a big part of his career, he didn’t enjoy working with him because he’s “a piece of s—.”

“Honestly I shouldn’t even give this subject the time of day, and I really don’t care to,” said Wardlow. “But people gotta understand, we were together for three years. He was the first three years of my career. He was a big part of my career. So if anybody is allowed to touch on this subject, it probably is me.

“But I’ll just say this. He’s not a good person. He really is a piece of s—-. It was not enjoyable working with him. And he put me through more stress than anything. And his behavior inside of the business and outside of the business is unacceptable. But that’s all I’m gonna say about that.”

MJF was the subject of some controversy when he no-showed a meet and greet at the Fan Fest ahead of AEW Double or Nothing. This incident came after multiple reports that he was frustrated with his contract, and MJF has openly teased that he might sign with WWE when he enters free agency in 2024. When asked, Khan hasn’t commented on his status. MJF has been removed from promo spots, and he is rarely mentioned on AEW TV.
