Report: Vince McMahon Docuseries Pulled From Netflix Slate

The upcoming docuseries based on WWE’s Vince McMahon has reportedly been pulled from Netflix’s programming plans, according to a report from Instinct Culture’s Denise Salcedo.

In a series of tweets on the matter, Salcedo said that sources had told her that the documentary has been pulled from the programming spreadsheet at Netflix. According to Salcedo, insiders in the company acknowledged the move, which was already allegedly “deep” into post-production, with several interviews for talent having already been done.

WWE and Netflix never announced a premiere date for the docuseries, which was set to be a multi-part series on the man behind wrestling’s biggest company. While Stephanie McMahon noted late last year that the documentary was planned for a 2022 release, it seems as if that will no longer be happening.

In a follow-up to Salcedo’s tweets, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp acknowledged the move, and said that WWE had the right to approve the final cut.

While no confirmation was given by anyone, this could be tied to the recent allegations made against Vince McMahon regarding millions of dollars paid out in hush money following allegations of sexual misconduct and affairs with the head of WWE.
