Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Named As Shark Week Master Of Ceremonies

Shark Week is bringing in a major name to be the Master of Ceremonies.

In a video Discovery posted on its YouTube channel, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson can be seen overseeing dozens of sharks in the water. At the end of the clip, Discovery officially announced that “The Great One” is the Master of Ceremonies for Shark Week 2022. The festivities will kick off on July 24.

In a tweet, Johnson commented on the news by saying that he filmed content for Shark Week in his home state of Hawaii, and he’s excited for fans to check it out.

Wrestlers have been involved with Shark Week in recent years. Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre was featured in a special in 2021, and WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin appeared on “Shark After Dark” in 2019.
