Warrior Wrestling Cancels 7/23 Stadium Series Event, Postpones Ticket Sales For Other Dates

Warrior Wrestling‘s Stadium Series return will have to wait.

Chicago-area promotion Warrior Wrestling announced the first date of its Stadium Series event has been cancelled and ticket sales for two other dates are currently on hold. Warrior issued the following statement in regards to the cancellation of the July 23 event:

“We HATE to share this news, but due to unforeseen circumstances, our 7/23 show is cancelled. Anyone who purchased tickets should have received an email, and further information will be forthcoming. We will update everyone with info upcoming dates as soon as we have it. Thank you,” Warrior Wrestling wrote on Twitter.

When asked by a fan why ticket sales for the two other events were on hold, Warrior said it was “the most prudent thing to do” while they figure things out. It was later noted that the July 23 event was cancelled for a combination of business and personal reasons, but none of the other events have been formally cancelled at this time.

Pro Wrestling Ponderings also reached out to Warrior Wrestling for more details and received the following statement in response:

We’re cancelling 7/23 because of a combination of business and personal reasons. On the business side, the advance for the show did not meet the threshold that we would need to make sense to run, so we are cancelling that show. We are going to regroup and plan for future shows.

Warrior Wrestling’s last event, its 24th overall, took place on June 26 ahead of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
