As confirmed during the July 18 episode, “The Tribal Chief” will be live on the show next week. He will appear on the show just a few days before his title defense against Brock Lesnar at WWE SummerSlam.
Plus, WWE announced that next week will see the 20th Anniversary celebration for Rey Mysterio take place. With his WWE journey spanning two decades, it’s unclear exactly what the company will do to celebrate the longevity and legend of Mysterio. However, it will likely be a special night.
Elsewhere in the night, Mysterio and his son Dominik will face the Judgment Day duo of Finn Balor and Damian Priest. The two teams have been feuding in recent weeks, as Priest and Balor have tried to recruit Dominik to join forces with them. They tried to force his hand by threating to injure Rey during an attack on the July 18 episode, but when Dominik gave in to save him, Priest rejected the young star.
He later said that Dominik should have grabbed a chair and hit Rey himself. He vowed that, next week, The Mysterios will fall. Meanwhile, Rey promised to show their rivals what being a Mysterio is all about.
