The National Wrestling Alliance is bringing back The Burke (Invitational).
On Friday, the NWA confirmed that The Burke Invitational Women’s Gauntlet would return on night one of the two-night NWA 74 event. This is the second time the match will be held, as the first one was held on NWA 73 weekend.
The first match (called the NWA Women’s Invitational Cup gauntlet match) was won by Chelsea Green and it took place at NWA Empowerrr, an all-women’s wrestling event. Empowerrr did not return in 2022, but the gauntlet match will still take place on NWA Anniversary weekend. The winner of the match will move on to challenge for the NWA Women’s World Championship, which is currently held by Kamille.
Green commented on the match returning, noting that “nobody will ever win it like I won it. Facts.” Green entered the 2021 match first and recorded two eliminations on her way to a win, but she was unsuccessful in dethroning Kamille for the title.

As of now, the only match confirmed for night one as of press time is Bully Ray vs. Mike Knox in a Tables match.
