Samoa Joe would have liked to drop the NXT title to Bron Breakker.

Samoa Joe returned to action against Karrion Kross at NXT TakeOver to win his third NXT Championship. Sadly, he would never have the chance to properly drop the title as he would be forced to relinquish it due to injury prior to being cut from WWE.

Recently, Samoa Joe told Sports Illustrated that he would have liked to drop the title to Bron Breakker and doesn’t rule out a return to WWE in the future because you never say never in the industry.

“Absolutely. Bron Breakker. I’m a fan of that young gentleman, as well as his family. He’s a great individual, and I love seeing what he can do. Tommaso [Ciampa] is another one. He’s a proven performer, someone who goes in there and gives his heart. Saying this stuff may feel like we’re closing the door on it, but a lot can change in this industry. So never say never.”

Now, Samoa Joe is a part of AEW and ROH and he will defend the Ring of Honor Television Championship against Jay Lethal at Death Before Dishonor 2022.
