RUSH Previews AEW Interim World Title Match: Jon Moxley Is About To Learn ‘Real Pain’

Now that RUSH is back at full strength, he intends to show the world that he’s one of the best wrestlers on the planet.

“El Toro Blanco” had been sidelined with a knee injury for the last few months of 2021 and the beginning of 2022. He then returned to the ring and joined AEW as Andrade El Idolo’s new business partner. Since then, the former ROH World Champion has been unstoppable. After he defeated his brother Dragon Lee at ROH Death Before Dishonor, AEW announced that RUSH will challenge Jon Moxley for the Interim AEW World Championship on the July 27 edition of AEW Dynamite.

In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, “El Toro Blanco” previewed the match by emphasizing that winning the title would be a monumental milestone, and he’s going to do everything in his power to do just that.

“Winning this title, it would be the greatest achievement in my career,” Rush said through a translator. “I am going to leave everything in the ring to get that title.”

RUSH noted that Moxley is a remarkable champion, but he’ll be in for a brutal fight when they face off on Wednesday night.

“He is a great champion,” Rush said. “He is a true champion. And he has had a great career, but Jon Moxley’s never wrestled anyone like me. I plan on showing no mercy. Moxley is about to learn about real pain, and he will never forget the night he met ‘El Toro Blanco’ in the ring.”

Regarding his knee injury, he made it clear that he’s 100% now, so he’s ready to face the best wrestlers.

“I’m completely healthy,” Rush said. “I’m at my best with the claws and courage to face the best in the world. I want to wrestle for AEW and ROH, and I will show that ‘El Toro Blanco’ is the best in the world.”

WrestleZone will have full coverage of AEW Dynamite as it airs on Wednesday.
