All Elite Wrestling has announced a major title match for AEW Battle of the Belts III.
On the July 29 edition of AEW Rampage, the broadcast team confirmed that Claudio Castagnoli will defend the ROH World Championship against Konosuke Takeshita at the show, which will air on August 6.
Castagnoli won the gold by defeating Jonathan Gresham at ROH Death Before Dishonor on July 23. This bout will be his first defense of the title. Takeshita has been featured in several buzzworthy matches on AEW television. Most recently, he faced AEW Interim World Champion Jon Moxley on the July 13 episode of AEW Dynamite. He has also battled Eddie Kingston and Hangman Page.

As of this writing, no other matches have been announced for AEW Battle of the Belts III.
