Killer Kross Removed From The Wrestling Showcase, Replacement To Be Named

Karrion Kross, also known as Killer Kross, has returned to WWE, so The Wrestling Showcase now has an opening in its eight-man bracket.

On the August 5 episode of WWE SmackDown, Kross returned to the company and attacked Drew McIntyre. Previously, he had been taking bookings as a free agent, so he had been scheduled to compete in The Wrestling Showcase. Tony Nese had been confirmed as his opponent in the first round.

The day after Kross returned to WWE, The Wrestling Showcase announced that he has been removed from the tournament.  In a tweet, the company thanked Kross and Scarlett and wished them well. The announcement also stated that there is now an open spot in the bracket, so fans should stay tuned to The Wrestling Showcase’s social media for more information.

The Wrestling Showcase will feature a one-night eight-man tournament, and it is set to take place on All Out weekend in Schaumburg, Illinois. Matt Cardona, Steve Maclin, and Jacob Fatu have also been announced for the bracket. In non-tournament action, Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie will compete at the show.

For more information, follow The Wrestling Showcase on Twitter (@WrestShowcase) or online at www.TheWrestlingShowcase.com. The PPV event on FITE is available for pre-order now.
