The August 19 episode of AEW Rampage will deliver an action-packed show, as it will feature two championship matches. Plus, the AEW World Trios Championship Tournament will continue, and Penelope Ford will take on Athena in her return to AEW TV.
The quarterfinals of the AEW World Trios Championship Tournament will take continue on Friday, with the Trustbusters and Best Friends going up against each other with a trip to the semi-finals on the line. Elsewhere in the night, Hook will defend his FTW Championship for the first time against Zack Clayton, and Swerve in Our Glory will take on Private Party in an AEW World Tag Team Championship match.
Elsewhere on the show, ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli will appear on the show.
