Johnny Gargano is officially back in WWE, as the superstar shocked the crowd tonight, returning to the company and delivering a strong message to Theory.
After weeks of rumors circulating that he was in contact with WWE following his leave of the company in December 2021 , Gargano arrived to a large crowd reaction. After taking in the moment for a bit, Gargano made his way down to the ring, and mentioned that he wasn’t sure if he wanted to keep wrestling.

However, he mentioned the birth of his child, and said that he wouldn’t be the type of father he wanted to if he didn’t show his son that the most impossible dreams — including becoming Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, WWE Champion, and wrestling at WrestleMania — could come true.
Following that, Theory made his way down to the ring, interrupting Gargano before noting that Theory has already accomplished most of what Gargano is setting out to do. He says that now he’s the veteran, while Gargano is just a rookie, and that if Johnny wanted to, he could carry around his luggage, or his Money in the Bank briefcase.
For old time’s sake, Theory held up a hand to high-five Gargano, but was instead greeted with a superkick, much to the crowd’s delight.
