Taya Valkyrie Would Love To Team With John Morrison And Challenge Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo

Taya Valkyrie believes the multiverse of wrestling is wide open, and almost any match is possible right now.

IMPACT Wrestling‘s Taya Valkyrie was a recent guest on the Battleground Podcast to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about the possibility of teaming with her husband John Morrison to challenge Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo for the AAA Mixed Tag Team Titles, Valkyrie believed it was a real possibility.

“I mean, I don’t see why not,” Taya Valkyrie began. “Both of our universes exist together right now. The multiverse of wrestling right now is insane. So why not? I mean, we have so much experience in mixed bag wrestling I don’t think anybody has as much experience as we do in all different styles. When we did it on Lucha Underground, when we did it in AAA, when we’ve done it on the indies, so absolutely Tay Conti, Sammy, you guys are newlyweds. We’ve been married four and a half years…Try me!”

When asked about her time in Lucha Underground, Valkyrie had nothing but great things to say about her time with the company.

“I feel like anyone you talk to you that was on Lucha Underground, I would say like that was one of the most fun experiences and most fun places to work,” Taya Valkyrie said. “Because all of us at that time were really just kind of breaking through. So it was kind of our first big opportunity for several of us. Think about Shane Strickland. Think about me. Brian Cage, Fenix, Penta, like all of us were, for the first time being recognized for something on a bigger platform, and it was just so much fun. It was absolute chaos and mayhem, and I loved it.”

To the people who aren’t fans of intergender wrestling, Valkyrie questions why people can buy in when Batman is fighting with Catwoman, but they can’t do it in a wrestling ring.

“I feel like for all those people that have such issues with intergender wrestling,” Taya Valkyrie began. “I mean, they would talk about that like, ‘I can’t believe Lucha Underground is doing that.’ I’m like, listen, guys, if you can believe that Catwoman and Batman are fighting each other, then you can believe that in this crazy underground fight club. Where there’s demons and dragons and people coming back from the dead, I mean, come on, guys. Play with us; give in to the magic.”
