Report: WWE Draft Not Expected To Happen Soon

The status of the date for the next WWE Draft has reportedly changed.

Fightful previously reported that the Draft was internally expected to happen shortly after WWE Clash at the Castle, with some RAW talent booked for the following episode of SmackDown.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that while the aforementioned talent were booked for the SmackDown after Clash at the Castle, that is no longer the case. Previously, many stars were told that the Draft would likely happen after the premium live event. If it is, it will seemingly occur with less crossover talent.

Sapp notes that USA Network sources have informed talent that the Draft won’t be anytime soon, and that a post-WrestleMania date is more likely. WWE hadn’t officially announced the draft, and talent hasn’t been told about anything potentially happening in the next few weeks.

In an update, Sapp wrote that USA Network does not have an internal date listed for the Draft.

WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
