Bobby Fish Confirms Why He Left All Elite Wrestling

Bobby Fish explains why he left All Elite Wrestling.

NBC Sports Boston‘s Steve Fall recently spoke with Bobby Fish, who recently departed AEW after his contract expired. Fightful recently reported that Fish and AEW had entered discussions about a renewal, but the two sides parted ways after an agreement could not be reached.

Fish explained his side, confirming that he and AEW could not agree on terms and decided to end their relationship.

“Contract was coming up for potential renewal and we couldn’t find common ground on the numbers that would be needed for both sides to be happy,” Fish stated. “Yeah, I’m a free agent.”

Asked if there’s potential for him to return to WWE, Fish said he’s not sure, but he is happy to see things starting to get back to normal in WWE.

“I don’t know. I’m open to all options and offers at the moment. I do know that there have been quite a few people that have gone back through those doors and I’m happy for the people that I know were left there after I had left, a lot of friendships and whatnot. Things were weird there for a bit, but for them to be back in the direction of some normalcy and some positivity and working for Hunter, I know I enjoyed it. I’m just happy for the people that I know that remained and the people that have come back to work there. I’m happy that it’s a good place to be again.”

Fish previously confirmed he is a free agent on his own podcast, where he also challenged CM Punk to a fight.
