The number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championships have been decided tonight, with The Brawling Brutes coming away with the win.
During a fatal four-way tag team match tonight on SmackDown, it was a stunning ending that cemented the Brutes as the new number one contenders. Towards the end of the match, IMPERIUM’s Kaiser and Vinci hit the Imperial Bomb on an exhausted Kofi Kingston, but as they did, Holland was able to blindly tag one of the members, making him the legal man. After throwing Kaiser out of the ring, Holland then quickly pinned Kofi, giving the pair the win and the chance at a title match next week on the September 23, 2022 episode of WWE SmackDown.

As soon as the bell rings, Kaiser and Butch tear into each other, trading shots. Butch floors Kaiser with an enziguri. A fight breaks out outside the ring. Top Dolla press slams Ashante over the top onto IMPERIUM and The Brawling Brutes. Kingston dives off Top Dolla’s back and lands on everyone outside the ring. Woods drops Holland with his own version of the Brogue Kick. After the break, Butch catches Kaiser with a lariat. Butch bends Kaiser’s fingers in directions they shouldn’t.
Dunne stomps on Kaiser’s hand. Holland sends Vinci flying with a double-arm suplex. Kaiser tags in Top Dolla. Top Dolla lands a suplex. Ashante tags in and Top Dolla slams him onto Holland. Holland tags in Kingston who manages a flurry of offence. Kaiser attacks Kingston from behind. Kingston tags in Woods. Woods clears the ring. Top Dolla puts Kingston and Dunne up on his shoulders. Woods leaps on Top Dolla but he catches him too.
Top Dolla walks around the ring with all three men before slamming everyone to the mat. Holland squares off with Top Dolla. Holland Alabama slams Top Dolla. Kaiser and Vinci hit the Imperial Bomb on Kingston. Holland gets a blind tag and pushes Kaiser out of the ring and steals the pin.
