AEW Dynamite Viewership Decreases On 9/21, Remains Top Spot On Cable

AEW Dynamite viewership saw a decrease on September 21, which featured the finals of the Tournament of Champions between Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson.

According to Showbuzz Daily, 1,039,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.35 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership was down from the September 14 episode when 1,175,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.39 rating in the same demographic.

Despite the decrease in viewership, AEW Dynamite remained in first place in the demographic among cable originals overall last night. They defeated The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, a show that continues to be their biggest rival from week to week, according to Showbuzz Daily.

This week’s show kicked off with Chris Jericho defeating Claudio Castagnoli to become Ring of Honor World Champion for the first time. The main event of the show saw Jon Moxley defeat Bryan Danielson via knockout to become AEW World Champion for the third time. MJF watched the entire match from the stands with his poker chip that he can cash in at any point to receive a shot for the championship that Moxley now possesses.
