Rocky Romero Comments On The Good Brothers’ IMPACT Status, Excited For New Japan Return

The Good Brothers are back regularly in New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Rocky Romero couldn’t be more excited about it.

Rocky Romero was the latest guest on The Undisputed Podcast to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about The Good Brothers, Rocky Romero confirmed that they have wrapped up with IMPACT Wrestling and will be working more regularly for New Japan Pro-Wrestling going forward.

“Yeah, they’re wrapped up with IMPACT,” Rocky Romero confirmed. “So New Japan has opened up, not for tourists yet. So if you want to be a tourist and you want to come over to Japan, you have to do it with a tour group and you can’t leave the tour group. You’re just kind of with the tour group the whole time. So there’s no independent tours just yet. But I think that’s the next step, and possibly by like January or so, that could be a possibility.

“But yeah, as for wrestling, there was a two-year period where it was almost impossible to get visas or actually wasn’t possible to get visas. And so there wasn’t any new fresh talent coming in. But now that those days are behind us, and you can get visas and people are starting to come over this year.

“It’s been really exciting to have The Good Brothers back, which is kind of wild because they were such a huge part and influence of this kind of this rebirth of New Japan with Bullet Club, and I mean, we were there for it. We watched a lot of it, and obviously, then when they went to WWE with AJ [Styles], that was like a big moment and kind of important moment in independent wrestling outside of WWE and we saw the ripple effect obviously affect New Japan and Ring of Honor and a lot of other companies. So, yeah, it’s pretty cool that they’re back in New Japan and doing some good business.”
