Report: VICE TV Working On New Vince McMahon Documentary

A new Vince McMahon documentary is in the works.

On June 15, the Wall Street Journal reported that the WWE Board was investigating a $3 million settlement McMahon reportedly agreed to pay a former employee he had an affair with. A second report on July 8 revealed that McMahon “agreed to pay more than $12 million over the past 16 years to suppress allegations of sexual misconduct and infidelity.” These women reportedly “signed agreements that prohibit them from discussing potential legal claims against or their relationships.”

McMahon retired on July 22. Following his announcement, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan were named the company’s new co-CEOs, and Triple H took over as the head of WWE creative on July 25.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that VICE TV is currently producing a new documentary about the former chairman, citing multiple sources who had been interviewed for it. He noted that the project will cover McMahon’s career, as well as his retirement in the wake of the aforementioned Wall Street Journal articles. Johnson noted that the documentary is set to air in October.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
