Frankie Kazarian Has Had Nothing But Good Matches In AEW, Picks His Favorite IMPACT Match

The Watch List takes a look at what matches you should be watching and they come recommended by today’s professional wrestling stars.

WrestleZone recently spoke with Frankie Kazarian, who picked his matches in AEW and IMPACT as some of his standout work.

“I’ll answer the IMPACT one first, and that’s an easy one. That’s my match with Chris Sabin from earlier this summer. Very, very proud of that match. I thought we told a real beautiful story. Everything we did leading up to it made sense. We’ve always had such good chemistry since day one, and he’s an incredible wrestler. I don’t think he gets the credit or the due that he has earned because, in a lot of ways, has carried IMPACT Wrestling on his back. He’s a consummate professional and an amazing pro wrestler. Certainly that match is my favorite.

“In terms of AEW, I’ve feel like I’ve had nothing but good matches. A couple that stick out are—during the pandemic, I think was in July of 2020, I had a singles match with Adam Page. I just remember it was a night where it was incredibly humid in Jacksonville, and we beat the hell out of each other and had a really good match. Also, Christian Cage’s first match—considering he was out of the ring for seven years, and coming back and going 20 minutes, and doing what we did. And the fact that he’s a very good friend of mine, I was incredibly proud of that. It was very special for me that he chose me to be the guy in there with for his first match back because that’s a pretty important role I was cast in. I was very proud of that.

“I’m proud of the last SCU match we had where it was Christopher Daniels and I against The Young Bucks. We’ve always had great matches with The Young Bucks, and that final one that split up SCU was another wonderful match that I’m very fond of.”
