The October 18 episode of AEW Dynamite ended with a scary situation when Hangman Page went down with an apparent injury. A new report has shined some light on Page’s condition.
In the main event of the special Tuesday episode of Dynamite, Page challenged AEW World Champion Jon Moxley for the title. The two stars went back and forth and threw everything they had at each other. In one highlight, Page even leapt off a balcony with a moonsault. At the end of the match, Moxley hit Page with a lariat, and the challenger landed badly as his head seemingly hit the mat. Officials quickly checked on Page, and the match was abruptly stopped. Medical personnel continued to evaluate Page, and they carried him out of the ring on a stretcher.
In an update, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that the injury is seemingly legitimate, and one source believes it might be a concussion, but this has not been confirmed. Johnson wrote that Page is being examined at a local hospital, and there is still no official word regarding his injury.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that, according to sources, Page is responsive and stable.
Those that we've heard from say that Hangman Page is responsive and stable. We'll leave additional health updates to Page himself or AEW.
I'm told a statement should be coming soon.
