AEW star Kris Statlander continues to recover from knee surgery, and she’s hopeful that the process will be successful.
In August, Statlander announced that she suffered a torn ACL and lateral meniscus. She later had surgery on September 7, and she’s expected to be sidelined for the next few months.
Speaking with Hollywood Life, Statlander briefly discussed her recovery when she was asked about her plans for the rest of the year. She noted that she’s focused on getting stronger ahead of her return to the ring.
“Mostly just recovering from my knee surgery,” Statlander said. “Getting stronger and getting myself ready to get back in the ring. It’s unfortunately the only thing I can really focus on right now, and I just want to heal as best as I can.”
Halloween is right around the corner, so Statlander was asked to pick the horror movie she would star in if she had the option to do so.
“I probably wouldn’t create my own and if I were to star in a movie, it would be Scary Movie or any spoof because I’m not a huge fan of horror movies,” Statlander said. “I don’t think I have a good terrified scream for films, so it wouldn’t be good.”
