The Miz Says He’s Dealing With A Bursa Sac Issue, Set To Compete In WWE SmackDown Dark Match

The Miz is dealing with an injury, and he continues to work through it.

“The A-Lister” has competed at live events in recent weeks, but he hasn’t wrestled on WWE RAW since the September 5 episode. He last wrestled at the Saturday Night’s Main Evet show on October 1.  Though he was scheduled to face Dexter Lumis on the October 17 episode, the former WWE Champion attacked his opponent before the bout, and it was called off.

Speaking on the Ekeler’s Edge podcast, The Miz revealed that he’s dealing with a busted bursa sac, and he also noted that he “messed up” his shoulder.

“I just got back from Monday Night RAW. I didn’t have to have a match, but any time you have matches, and we have matches over the weekend as well, any time you have a match, your entire body’s sore,” The Miz said. “You’re saying your neck, my body, there’s always some sort of, when I’m done, I don’t feel it, and then the next day, I’m like, where is this coming from? I have a bursa sac that burst that just keeps blowing up.

“It takes so long [to heal], and it’ll go away, and then it just keeps coming back. Fluid comes in, it goes away. Comes in, goes away. I messed up my shoulder a little bit, and then you’re trying to work out and trying to work through it and trying to make sure you maintain your body and your physicality.

The WWE RAW star went on to note that he is set to compete in a dark match at the October 21 taping of WWE SmackDown.

“Just this week, I have to go to SmackDown,” The Miz said. “I’m not a SmackDown Superstar, I’m a RAW Superstar. We have two brands, one’s on Monday, one’s on Friday. I’m going on Friday just to do the main event dark [match] to give them something a little more for that live crowd. You’re not gonna see me on TV, but the live crowd will see me in Toledo.”

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
