Anna Jay: Chris Jericho Is The Most Talented Person I Know In The Wrestling Business

Anna Jay is setting the record straight over why she decided to leave The Dark Order in favor of The Jericho Appreciation Society.

All Elite Wrestling’s Anna Jay recently sat down with Kristen Ashly of Pro Wrestling Illustrated to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about her decision to leave The Dark Order and join The Jericho Appreciation Society, Jay said while she loves her Dark Order teammates, she couldn’t down the opportunity to work with Chris Jericho.

“I’ll start off by saying I’ll always love my Dark Order guys. But it’s kind of one of those things where I could never turn down an opportunity to work with someone like Chris Jericho,” Anna Jay said. “He’s someone who’s probably the most talented person I know in the wrestling business. So to work with him is really an honor and something I never thought I would be able to do. So that’s the main reason, I would say, and then also to be able to tag with Tae again, Tae-Jay in the ring. So I think those are the main reasons but yeah, Chris Jericho. He is great. And I am so happy that I get to work with him.”

When asked if she gets to train with Chris Jericho as part of The Jericho Appreciation Society, Jay said Jericho isn’t hands-on in terms of in-ring training, but he’s always there to give them critiques on their performance.

“Yeah, I mean, as far as training, maybe not hands-on in-ring but like as far as everything that I do that he watches and gives me critiques or tells you what I did good or something what I did wrong, or what I could do better. That’s always the case,” Anna Jay said. “And that’s for all the members of J-A-S, so it’s been such an honor to be able to have that.”

Making the shift from The Dark Order to The Jericho Appreciation Society forced Anna Jay to turn heel for the second time in her All Elite Wrestling career. Despite that, she doesn’t have an issue with that as she loves getting the chance to play a character that isn’t who she is.

“Oh yeah, I like doing that. I think it’s a little fun to play someone who I’m really not,” Anna Jay said. “I don’t think I would say that in real life. So I think it’s really fun. It’s also something different to do and to challenge myself. So I’m really glad I’ve been able to do that just because to change characters is something that isn’t the easiest thing, but like I said, it’s challenging me, and I’ve loved every second of it.”
