MJF: I Wouldn’t Be Shocked If The AEW World Champion Shows Up At UFC 282

MJF hints that he could show up at UFC 282. If not, he has a potential clash with Paddy Pimblett in his sights when AEW debuts in London in 2023.

Pimblett, a UFC fighter with a subtantial fan following, traded verbal barbs with MJF, the AEW World Champion on social media. “Paddy the Baddy” poked fun at wrestling and implied that matches weren’t real fights, while MJF told him that he wouldn’t last two seconds in a ring. By the end of the showdown, both men expressed heir openness to a potential figh.

In an interview with Marc Raimondi of ESPN, MJF teased that he could show up at UFC 282, where Pimblett will fight Jared Gordon. He went on to describe why he has clashed with Pimblett, noting that the UFC fighter treats wrestling as if its fake.

“I wouldn’t be shocked if the AEW world champion shows up on Dec. 10 in Vegas,” MJF said. “I’m sick and tired of people talking about pro wrestling as if it’s some f—ing stunt show,” MJF, 26, told ESPN. “The fact of the matter is Paddy ‘The Prima Donna’ Pimblett would not last two seconds in a professional wrestling ring with me. Maybe not even one.”

“The Salt of the Earth” drove the point home by stating that UFC fighters are prima donnas, whereas wresters are actual fighters. He highlighted the dangerous aspect of wrestling and noted that he’d be happy to show Pimblett who the superior fighter is, potentially at AEW’s London debut in 2023.

“This fat, moon-faced prick, Will-from-Stranger-Things-looking a–hole dollar store Conor McGregor decided he needed to chirp up and say, ‘Oh, wrestling is fake,'” MJF said. “Let me tell you something. We are real fighters. They are prima donnas. Pro wrestling is a dangerous, dangerous sport, and there is no one more dangerous than MJF. I can assure you when we come to London in 2023, if Paddy shows his face, he’s going to find out that a Scouser [a native or inhabitant of Liverpool, England] is no match for a Long Islander. Because I’m better than him and he knows it.”

As the AEW World Champion, MJF knows that plenty of people will try to face him, and he’s more than ready for the challenge.

“There’s a target on my back at all times,” MJF said. “Like I said, if ‘Paddy the Baddy’ thinks he can aim at that target and hit it, I am more than game. More than game to knock that guy out.”

MJF is currently riding high after he beat Jon Moxley to win the AEW World Championship at AEW Full Gear. Time will tell what the future holds for his budding feud with Pimblett.
