Deonna Purrazzo Names Her Mount Rushmore Of Active Women’s Wrestlers

Deonna Purrazzo names her Mount Rushmore of active women’s wrestlers.

Purrazzo is one of the most decorated competitors in the wrestling world today. She is a two-time IMPACT Knockouts Champion, and she is also a former AAA Reina de Reinas Champion. She has also held the ROH Women’s World Championship and the IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Championship.

In an interview with Steven Muehlhausen of DAZN Wrestling, Purrazzo was asked to name her Mount Rushmore of active women’s wrestlers, and she named Jordynne Grace, Britt Baker, herself, and one of WWE’s Four Horsewomen. She noted that she named performers from each company because this representation is important, as they’re all fighting the same fight.

“This is gonna be controversial because I’m definitely gonna leave people off, [like] The STARDOM girls that always seem to sneak up in people’s rankings that I haven’t wrestled yet, and I don’t watch too much of STARDOM these days,” Purrazzo said. “I think Jordynne Grace, for me, is absolutely up there. I think that, I’m gonna be a little cocky, I’m gonna put myself up there.

“I’m gonna put Britt Baker up there, my best friend but also the first-ever women’s signee of AEW. She continues to level up and kill it and create a platform for women within AEW. Then I think, for me, it’s maybe a toss-up between one of the Four Horsewomeen, whether you want to put Becky up there or Charlotte or Sasha or Bayley, I don’t know which one I’d pick because I love them all for different reasons. But I think representation from each company up there is important because we’re all fighting the same fight, just in different places.”

Grace is the reigning IMPACT Knockouts World Champion; she won the gold at IMPACT Slammiversary in June. Baker is a former AEW Women’s World Champion, and she is widely considered the face of the division. Lynch recently returned to WWE and helped her team score the victory in the Women’s WarGames Match at WWE Survivor Series. Bayley has been featured on WWE TV as the leader of Damage CTRL. Flair has been absent since WrestleMania Backlash in May, as she has been taking some time away from the ring. Banks’ status has been unclear since she and Naomi walked out of WWE RAW in May.
