More reported details regarding WWE‘s plans to hold a show in India have come to light.

As first reported by Riju Dasgupta of Sportskeeda Wrestling, WWE is set to host an event “on a grand scale” in Hyderabad, India, and Drew McIntyre is considered a “lock” for the show. Per Dasgupta, sources said that the likely date for the event is January 18, which was also reported by WrestleVotes.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com reports that WWE will hold the show at G.M.C. Balayogi Sports Complex, an indoor stadium in Hyderabad. The show will primarily feature stars from the SmackDown brand.

WWE previously held the Superstar Spectacle event on January 22, 2021, as part of WWE’s deal with Sony Pictures Networks India. A number of Indian wrestlers, including Guru Raaj, Jinder Mahal, and Jeet Rama, among others, competed on the show.
