Kaun Wants ‘Round Two’ Against Adam Cole

Kaun would like another shot at Adam Cole when he returns to the ring.

During a recent interview with WrestleZone, Kaun spoke about his relationship with Ladder, the sports nutrition brand founded by LeBron James and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Kaun said that he first linked up with Ladder after the company saw his AEW Dark match against Adam Cole, which also had him trending on Twitter after it aired.

WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard noted how Cole is currently sidelined due to injury, but there has been plenty of speculation about his eventual return and the possibility that he works with a team. Kaun, one of the current ROH Six-Man Champions, says he’s open to facing off with Cole again whether it’s a singles or a tag bout.

“When I wrestled him on Dark, crazy experience when that aired finally. I was trending on Twitter, and not to like, have a couple of thousand tweets, but like thousands of tweets, and people were like, ‘who is this guy Khan?’ I’m like, ‘Well, I’ve been here.’ I’m a Ring of Honor Six-Man Champion. I got to show them what I can do,” he stated.

“I was hitting this man as hard as possible. It wasn’t just some dark match where you see something get squashed in 2 minutes. I made him work his ass off to defeat me and he barely got by,” he noted. “The six-man championships in Ring of Honor were held by The Elite in the past. Those people who are part of the foundation of AEW held these championships and they have prestige. So if he comes back and he has his own team again, I want a round two.”

Kaun confirmed he signed with All Elite Wrestling in February 2022 and he’s been featured on AEW and ROH programming since then, including the Six-Man Tag Team Championship win at Final Battle. As far as 2023 is concerned, Kaun says he’s going to keep getting his name out there and aiming high, hoping to be in the top 200 of the annual PWI 500 list.

Adam Cole has not wrestled since he suffered a severe concussion in a four-way IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Cole returned to AEW Rampage on August 3, 2022 in a non-wrestling appearance, but has been absent from AEW programming since then.
