WWE NXT Draws Highest Viewership Since October On 12/20, Demo Rating Dips

WWE NXT viewership increased on December 20, but the demographic rating dipped.

According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, 705,000 viewers tuned in on Tuesday, which is up from last week, when 666,000 viewers watched the show on Tuesday. In the 18 to 49 demographic, NXT scored a 0.14 rating, which is down from last week (0.17 rating in the same demographic). Thurston noted that Tuesday’s viewership number was NXT’s highest since October 25.

Per Showbuzz Daily, NXT ranked #21 among cable originals in the key demographic. College football games and NBA games on TNT led TV on Tuesday night.

This week’s episode opened with Carmelo Hayes defeating Axiom. In the main event, The New Day defeated Briggs and Jensen to retain the NXT World Tag Team Championship.
