Road Dogg: I Feel Bad I Leaned Into The Bret Hart Thing, But There’s No Heat Or Beef

Road Dogg doesn’t believe that he has any heat or beef with Bret Hart due to his comments in recent months.

On the latest episode of the Oh… You Didn’t Know? Podcast Road Dogg was asked if there was any heat or beef between him and Bret Hart based on his recent comments about him over the last couple of months. The WWE Hall of Famer insists that there are no issues between him and The Hitman as far as he’s aware.

“No, but even if he has, like it’s me being stupid and being me. Look, I believe that, but if that bothers you, then man, I don’t know. I ain’t got time for that. There’s no beef or no heat, especially with Bret,” Road Dogg said. “We always got along well. I’m trying to think right now who I feel funny about walking into a room with. I got nobody, bro. I got nobody, and I’m dead serious.

“I’m happy that way too. I have peace of mind. I say what I mean. And I mean what I say. And I stand by it too. You know what I mean? Yeah, I backtracked a little bit because it made me feel bad that I leaned into the Bret thing. I leaned into it, and made me feel guilty. It really did. And it was like, oh, man, but it also at the same time. It was the one time I kind of slung mud, and it gets all the traction. You know what I mean?

“It just goes to show where we’re at where that kind of negativity is the attractive part and me saying for two hours how great he was is not interesting at all. You know what I mean? And that’s where we’re at. It’s a sound-bite society, my friend. That the content or intent that you are speaking with matters not. What we capture and put out in a sound bite to grab you. That’s the attractive part. The rest of it is just the truth. That’s where we’re at. It’s that kind of negativity that draws the attention, but the positivity is, I got ain’t got time for that. You know what I mean? And that’s sad.”

Later in the show, he was asked if he believes Roman Reigns is having the greatest title reign in WWE history. Road Dogg doesn’t go that far but calls it the greatest in distant history, calling it the best thing happening in wrestling right now.

“So it’s the greatest in distant history, that’s for sure,” Road Dogg said. “It’s the hottest thing in sports entertainment and professional wrestling. The Bloodline storyline as a whole and the intricacies in the relationship and the characters is the best thing in wrestling right now. And there’s not even a close second like that’s just how it is.

“And so look, I don’t say that because they hired me back. I say that because it’s a fact. And if you disagree with it, it’s because you’re a hater and you’re not looking at the big picture; you’re playing small ball. But yeah, Roman Reigns and his reign have been epic and history-making for the WWE as an entertainment conglomerate in the world. You know what I mean? Like it’s good for business. It’s best for business.”
