WWE Announces Johnny Gargano Is Unable To Compete Due To A Grade 2 AC Sprain

Johnny Gargano is currently sidelined.

During the January 9 episode of WWE RAW, the commentary team announced that Gargano is out of action due to a grade 2 AC sprain, and the company hopes he’ll be able to return soon. Candice LeRae, Gargano’s wife, commented on the news in an injury and noted that he’s focused on getting healthy so he can return as soon as possible.

Per Cagematch, Gargano has not wrestled since the WWE Live Holiday Tour event on December 30.

The recovery time for grade 2 AC sprain varies, but it takes approximately six weeks.

Gargano commented on the news in a tweet and noted that the medical team is going to protect him from himself. He vowed to do everything he can to return to the ring, and he made it clear that he wants to be in the Royal Rumble.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
