Samoa Joe Wants To Work With Henry Cavill On Amazon’s Warhammer 40,000 Series

Samoa Joe is the King Of Television but he’s eyeing another high-profile role on the silver screen.

Current ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe recently spoke with WrestleZone ahead of his TNT Championship match against Darby Allin on the February 1 episode of AEW Dynamite. Joe has a role as Sweet Tooth in the upcoming Twisted Metal series on Peacock, and he also lent his voice to King Shark in the upcoming Suicide Squad video game.

Asked if there’s a movie role he’d like to try his hand at to grow his kingdom’s reach even further, Samoa Joe said he’d love to work with Henry Cavill on the upcoming Warhammer 40,000 series.

“I got a couple of cool little offers just trying to work them out right now and make them work in the schedule and we’ll see about that. If anything else, Henry Cavill if you’re out there, dog, I know you got that Warhammer franchise and you’re going to need people to understand how it goes down. I’m just throwing that in the universe,” Joe said.

“If you want somebody to talk that trash to the aliens, there’s nobody better,” he added.

As far as his in-ring career goes, Samoa Joe said he’s open to working most of the Ring Of Honor and All Elite Wrestling roster.

“At this point, I think it would be easier to tell you who I don’t want to work with, because it’s really to that point. There’s a whole, 2 to 3, maybe even more generations of Ring of Honor that occurred while I was working elsewhere. From Dalton Castle to Jay Lethal, who I’ve had a history with TNA, but obviously, he’s one of the most incredible entertainers in the sport today,” Samoa Joe said. “The list goes on and on. Cross over to AEW, as far as like dream matchups, that’s easy. You could literally flip him the AEW page, throw a dart over your back and you’re going to find a dream matchup. That’s something that it’s kind of a moot point because it’s everybody. It really is. We’ve only gotten started, I think I’ve only had probably, you know, five, if that, different opponents, maybe six. So, we’re really at the infancy here. It’s hard for me to say, ‘oh, you know, I want to work this guy or that guy’ because it’s everybody. Anybody can get it, and I’m more than willing to pass it out.”

When put on the spot in regards to who he doesn’t want to work with, Joe said one name came to mind.

“It’s actually a really good question. That ‘Smart’ Mark Sterling guy kind of sucks,” Joe said. “He’s just annoying, just kind of like soul draining, you know what I mean? It’s not so much fear or loathing, it’s just more of he makes my day frickin’ flaccid. You know what I’m saying? Just weird.”

Samoa Joe challenges Darby Allin for the TNT Championship on AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, February 1.

Peacock’s Twisted Metal series recently wrapped filming, while the Warhammer 40,000 series was announced in December 2022 and it will air on Amazon. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will be released on May 26, 2023 on PlayStation 5, XBox X/S and PC.
