Liv Morgan Appreciates Having ‘Room To Play’ And Showing How Extreme She Can Get

Liv Morgan is living out her childhood fantasies right now.

Upon winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship last year, Liv Morgan elevated her character to new, more extreme, heights. Her reign came to an end after only three months, but its dramatic conclusion fueled Morgan even further. In October, Morgan met Ronda Rousey in an Extreme Rules match. In pursuit of retaining her title, she wielded a table, and even a bat. Eventually, though, Morgan passed out to Rousey’s biceps crusher, crowning “The Baddest Women On The Planet” as the new champion.

Following her loss, Morgan acquired a more fearless, risk-taking attitude, reminiscent of her early memories in professional wrestling. She made it clear that she’s having a lot of fun, as she’s enjoying seeing how far her character can get pushed.

“I have so much room to play, which I really appreciate,” Morgan told Out of Character with Ryan Satin. “Passing out and losing my title the way that I did, I feel I had worked so hard for that, and for it to be taken away, I have nothing left to lose. I feel like my back is against the wall, so I’m ready and willing to do anything and everything that I need to do to eventually get my championship back.”

“If that means putting myself through pain, putting others through pain, I’m down and ready for it all. I’m having so much fun with it. I’m enjoying it. I enjoy kind of seeing how far I can go and how far I can be pushed and how far I can push others and how far they can push me. It’s been really cool.”

Morgan continued by describing how being able to lean into the hardcore side of wrestling brings her full circle, and she wouldn’t want to be doing anything else right now.

“It’s only going to get more hardcore. That’s the reason why I fell in love with WWE. I was five years old, it wasn’t the story that got me, it was the extreme, the TLC matches, the hardcore matches. That’s what really caught my eye and what made me fall in love with wrestling. So, to fast forward, being able to live out this crazy extreme fantasy that I’ve always had, it feels so fitting and full circle. I wouldn’t want to do anything else right now. I’m thoroughly enjoying myself and having fun and seeing how else I can show how extreme I can get. I’m excited to see where it can go and where I can take it.”
