Dax Harwood Names Dream Matches, Thinks FTR Could Have Generational Match With The Usos

Dax Harwood names his top five dream matches.

FTR is currently taking a break from AEW after their grueling schedule 2022. They’re also taking time to decide their futures as their AEW contracts are reportedly up in April. While away from the ring, Dax Harwood remains active on his FTR podcast. During a recent episode, Harwood discussed potential dream matches when the subject of his future came up.

Starting with dream singles matches, Harwood named GUNTHER, Tomohiro Ishii, and Shingo Takagi due to the different dynamics those matches could offer. In tag team competition, he would like to see FTR to take on Edge and Christian. Rounding out the list, Harwood wants another match against The Usos.

“I think us versus The Usos could be the ultimate tag team match because the two teams have grown so much. And I think we’ve hit our peak as a team, as characters, as athletes. I think our promo work has hit a peak, athleticism, our psychology has hit a peak. That would be the match.

“If you could take these guys who are badass Samoans who will fight anybody in a second, and you take these other guys who, on the surface, are polar opposites, but two badasses from the south who will fight you in a second. And you put that in there, that’s a combustible element. I think The Usos, with where both of us are in our careers right now, could be one of the greatest tag team matches. I think it could be a generational tag team match.”

During their time as The Revival in WWE, FTR faced The Usos a handful of times in 2019 with two pay-per-view bouts taking place at Super ShowDown and later Extreme Rules with the Raw Tag Team Championship on the line.
