Paul Heyman continues to stir the pot on the road to WrestleMania.
Cody Rhodes won the Men’s 2023 Royal Rumble Match, and he is set to challenge Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39. As a result, he has traded words with Heyman, Reigns’ special counsel, on multiple occasions. Previously, Heyman told Cody that Roman Reigns was the son his father, Dusty Rhodes, always wanted.
On the February 20 episode of WWE RAW, Cody came to the ring, but he was quickly interrupted by “The Wise Man.” Heyman discussed Rhodes’ looking match with Reigns and, while he stated that Cody could never beat “The Tribal Chief”, he discussed the hypothetical. He detailed the weight of the responsibilities that a world champion must carry, and he noted that Dusty was familiar with that. Heyman stated that Dusty wasn’t there for Cody and his family. He then noted that others might say something like, “On a cold winter night, Roman Reigns will keep your wife warm.”
However, Heyman noted that while he would never say such a thing, he did twist the knife in another way.
“I would never say something like that. Roman Reigns is a happily married man. But I’m not,” Heyman said.

Rhodes was clearly angered by Heyman’s words, and rather than lashing out at “The Wise Man”, he instead vowed to finish his story and beat Reigns at WrestleMania 39.
