WWE Provides Medical Update On Roxanne Perez On 3/14 WWE NXT

Roxanne Perez‘s road to recovery continues.

The NXT Women’s Champion retained the title by defeating Meiko Satomura on the March 7 episode of WWE NXT. Perez collapsed after the match, and she left the arena on a stretcher. She was then taken to the hospital, and she was discharged on March 10.

During the March 14 episode of WWE NXT, Dr. Warren Becker stated that he and his team have been conducting tests on Perez; specifically, they have been evaluating her head, her heart, and her body. He noted that the champion’s bloodwork came back “reassuring”, and she was not dangerously dehydrated when she collapsed. Likewise, initial CT scans did not show any abnormalities in her brain, and the tests on her heart came back normal.

Becker said that Perez is stable, but the team is unable to identify the cause of her collapse. He recommended further testing, including consulting with other professionals. Becker stated that he was unable to provide an estimated date for Perez’s return to in-ring action.

Meanwhile, Shawn Michaels announced that the NXT Women’s Championship will be defended in a Ladder Match at NXT Stand & Deliver, and it’s unclear whether Perez will be able to compete in the match.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
