NJPW star Jeff Cobb hints that he’s coming to AEW Dynamite to pay Kenny Omega a visit.
Cobb has repeatedly teased his interest in facing Omega, the reigning IWGP United States Champion. He has brought the former AEW World Champion up in promos and even borrowed from his moveset in matches. These antics haven’t garnered a reaction from Omega, and Cobb is ready to take matters into his own hands.
In a backstage promo in the aftermath of his match at the NJPW New Japan Cup event on March 21, Cobb made it clear that he’s coming for Omega. He stated that he will come to St. Louis next week and knock on his door.
“Now Kenny, you can either accept my challenge, which you haven’t done in multiple, multiple, multiple times. So the last and final warning, it’s not even a warning, I am telling you firsthand, I’m coming to St. Louis, and I’m gonna knock on your door. I’m gonna find the EVPs’ dressing room, knock on it, and see if you let me in because I’m done with the trash-talking. I’m done with Twitter attacks because we all know how you handle, oh so well, verbal beatdown. So Kenny, I’ll see you in St. Louis. Knock, knock, knock, Kenny. Let me in, please,” Cobb said. Fans will have to wait and see whether Cobb will show up at AEW Dynamite on March 29. WrestleZone will have coverage of the show as it airs.
