Multiple championship matches have been announced for NJPW Sakura Genesis.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling has confirmed that 2023 New Japan Cup winner SANADA will challenge Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at the event on April 8. Plus, Hiromu Takahashi will defend the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship against Robbie Eagles.
Elsewhere on the show, Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI will defend the IWGP Tag Team Championship against Aussie Open, and Zack Sabre Jr. will defend the NJPW World Television Championship against Shota Umino.
The announced card is as follows:
- IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. SANADA
- IWGP Tag Team Championship: Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI) (c) vs. Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis)
