Rhea Ripley On Intergender Wrestling: I Like To Push Boundaries

Rhea Ripley shares her thoughts on intergender wrestling in WWE.

The idea of men and women mix it up in a WWE ring is a controversial topic of conversation, and WWE has leaned into it occasionally over the years. As the enforcer of The Judgment Day, Ripley in particular has gotten physical with male WWE superstars on many occasions. She has memorably slammed Luke Gallows and faced Akira Tozawa in a match.

Speaking with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Ripley commented on intergender wrestling and noted that she’s not sure how far they can go with it. She made it clear that she likes to push boundaries, and while she doesn’t know what the future holds for intergender wrestling, she hopes to be the person to do it again.

“With the way of the world and with just the business side of things, I’m not sure how far we can go with it,” Ripley said. “A lot of people are not for it. We’re on live TV and have to abide by rules and regulations. I‘m not sure how far we can go, but I like to push boundaries. I know Triple H is the same. I don’t know what the future holds with intergender wrestling. But I just hope if it does come to that point, I can be that person to do it again. I think it just has to make sense.”

Regardless of what happens next with intergender wrestling in WWE, Ripley will compete in a high-profile match at WWE WrestleMania 39 when she challenges Charlotte Flair for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.
