Report: Update On Drew McIntyre’s WWE Contract

Drew McIntyre‘s WWE contract is reportedly set to expire in the near future, and a new update shines some light on the situation.

PWInsider recently reported that Drew McIntyre’s contract is coming up in the next year. In an update, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that McIntyre’s deal is up “within the next nine months,” and the former WWE Champion has made it clear that he’s going to wait until closer to the expiration date to sign anything.

Sapp also noted that many WWE contracts are set to expire by the end of 2024, as the company signed a number of five-year deals following the launch of AEW in 2019. The report also states that, per sources, the company was likely going to wait until closer to the expiration of the contracts to renew them, and it’s unclear how this may have changed since Triple H took over.

Additionally, Sapp wrote that WWE is eager to have McIntyre stay, and they hope to discuss his contract later in 2022.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
