Orange Cassidy will fill in for Eddie Kingston at NJPW Collision in Philadelphia.
On April 9, NJPW announced that, due to an undisclosed injury, Eddie Kingston will be unable to compete at the show on April 16. As a result, Orange Cassidy will face his scheduled opponent, Gabriel Kidd.
Cassidy is the reigning AEW International Champion, and NJPW noted that he will defend the title if he is still the champion come Sunday. Buddy Matthews will challenge Cassidy for the gold on the April 12 episode of AEW Dynamite.
It’s unclear how long Kingston will be out of action. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
